Sticky Notes App Reviews

such a great application!

what a great application! exceeds the native notes-app with ease. iOS/dropbox-syncing would be wonderful, but the app per se is one of the best sticky-apps! highly recommended

Excellent!

The Help file is not very complete. "Attach note to applications" (which was the reason why I bought it) is not explained properly. I thought that it was not working until I went on the community support/bug report and saw that the program you want to attach a note to needs to be started first. Works fine after.

Problems with PREFERENCES...

It is impossible to define new font in PREFERENCES... section! And to define new default color of note! App needs to be developed!

Not so good

The application looks better than standard Stickies but has a few major issues. First of all notes snapping is performing based on right side of note which is not convenient when notes has different size. Secondly when you open Expose all the notes stays where they were therefore it makes complicated use of Expose and impossible to move some notes on other desktops. I wish I get my $8 back, really.

Doesn’t work

I just downloaded this app for $7.99 and it will not even open. Do not waste your money!!!!!

Indispensable tool!

Because I can attach individual Sticky Notes to any app Im using, I use this app *dozens and dozens* of times a day to take notes and keep clippings and text handy. I also like how customizable the program is, and that I can look for notes via Spotlight. Sticky Notes has always been rock solid for me, and I feel its well worth the modest shareware fee here at the App Store. I highly recommend it.

Not great

Not impressed. Notes are not hidden when switching app only dimmed. If a note is not manually save its gone. If saved theres not "open recent". You have to locate it and "import" it back. Just not a big deal to me. Would not recommend it or buy it again. I see no advantage over "stickies". Unfortunate most apps do not have a trial version. This ones a good example. Deleted it. Tired it again. still not impressed. Way overpriced. Wont buy it again for .99 Deleting it again Forget it.

Great features

I just downloaded and started using this app. It works as describe and is very useful for attaching notes to individual applications. It also works super fast in terms of sharing notes over a network between computers. Note: if you dont it, after you purchase this app, you can download it again from your App account to another computer. On the other computer, just click Purches in the App Store application toolbar and then add your paid app. Secondly, when you save an individual note, it will be saved as RTFD file. When you open it up again, it will open in TextEdit, unless you drag it onto the Sticky Notes app icon in the Dock. To make a saved Sticky Notes file always open in Sticky Notes, changes the settings for that file in the Get Info, to always open in Sticky Notes.

Sticky Notes 2.0

How are you supposed to get the upgrade? There are no links, no buttons, nothing in the store to simplify/enable the procedure unless Im going blind...

Outshines All Other "Stickies" Type Apps

A couple weeks ago, after aggrieving the absence of sophistication of Apples own Stickies app, I evaluated three alternatives. Of them, Sticky Notes is the cream of the crop. (And it was version 1.5.1 of Sticky Notes Id tried; 2.0 blows it away.) SN is feature-rich without extraneous bells and whistles of the youll-never-use-this sort, and possesses simple good looks, free from hokey flash and whatnot. Sticky Notes offers precisely what I want in such an app, and a little extra to boot.

Works as long as you don

Ridiculous that you lose all of your notes on reboot. Cant seem to find any help for this problem either.

Buggy, no technical support

After trying this app a few years ago, I decided to give it another try, in hopes the developer had finally gotten it stable and reliable; unfortunately, thats not the case. If I delete a sticky, 3 more blank stickies pop up; if I select anything from the application menu, a blank sticky pops up. Very annoying. I contacted the developer, asked if there were a way around this problem, never heard back. Im sure Im not the only one experiencing this bug.

Not a replacement for the standard stickies.

Its annoying that notes must all be manually saved.

can

As far as Im concerned, it was a waste of money --- tried to install and uninstall and it still didnt work! Wish I could get my money back. The description on the App store was that it was Sticky notes on steroids --- yea right --- dont be fooled!

An app can expire??

Having the same issue myself. Is there no way to access the app in order to get the notes that have already been created? Thats a ton of data that will be lost if I cant and I cant recover it.

Expired

I too am the victim of an expired app. I am hoping that its an error, I need my notes.

This Release has Expired

WOW JUST BOUGHT THIS FOR $7.99 AND IT DOSENT WORK! REDICULUS!

Big improvement to stickies

Many more features - Run from menubar or dock—menubar especially convenient. Notes can snap together, easily customize appearance. Inactive notes can fade into background, and much more. Have used this for years, big fan!

Pretty good little app

Overall this is a pretty good little app, a lot better than the Apple stickies. Being able to create custom colors is nice but the 2 big features are being able to attach a note to an app and the additional formatting, oh and the snapping helps a lot also. Although, a note to the developer, it doesnt save the table formatting once you close the app. It retains the text but not the table, I had no problem with the lists. Most of the bad reviews are for the expired version which was a mix up in the build release and has been resolved (and no, Im not in any connection with the developer but am one myself and want to be fair). Fix the table saving issue and expand on the formatting and will take it to 5 stars.

2.1.6 "This release has expired"

This app has become unlaunchable and I have looked for a solution in vain! It also appears that this is not the first time a version of this app has had this problem. Version 2.1.5 had the same issue that v2.1.6 was suppsoe to fix. Fail.
